Osaka City is located at the mouth of the Yodo River.
Historically, the city has developed along with water and marine transportation, so, Osaka
is known as the “City of Water.
Hirakata City is located in the middle reaches of the Yodo River, north of Osaka City. The
Yodogawa riverbed near Hirakata has been covered with vast reed beds for a long time.
Reed in Yodo River has been protected and used for a long time as a material for traditional
Japanese musical instruments. In addition, reeds, which grow in clusters and grow wild,
reduce carbon dioxide emissions and purify river water and biodiversity.
The reed threads produced from the reeds are an ideal sustainable material.
We aim to establish a Circular Economy and contribute to the local community by using
these reed towels as “KURAWANKA FABRIC.

大阪市は、淀川河口に位置する都市です。
歴史的には、水運、海運とともに発展してきた都市であり、
大阪、「水の都」と呼ばれています。
その淀川の中流域、大阪市の北に位置するのが枚方市です。枚方付近の淀川河川敷には、
昔から広大なヨシ原が広がっています。
淀川のヨシは、日本の伝統的な楽器の材料として、古くから守られ、使われ続けています
。また、ヨシは、群生し、自生するため、二酸化炭素の削減や河川の水質浄化、
そして生物多様性など環境保全に役立っています。
そのヨシから生まれたヨシ糸は、理想的なサスティナブルな素材です。
このヨシタオルを「くらわんかFABRIC」として製造・販売することで、循環型経済の確
立と地域コミュニティへの貢献を目指しています。
